Since returning from volunteering in Tanzania in 2007 I have since decided to continue my support to both Voluntary Service Overseas and the community of Ifakara.
I have taken this opportunity to develop this website to inform you of the activities that I have done and am currently doing to help raise funds for the charity. And ways in which you can help and/or donate.

My name is Zonya and I am currently a Biomedical Scientist based in the UK. I have a wonderfull collection of friends, a supportive family and a rewarding job! I enjoy travelling and have managed to encorporate this passion with volunteer work with the Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) in East Africa.
I am actively involved in voluntary charity work for the Child Aid Tanzania which I recently set up with my friend, Andrea and my sister, Vera. The fund started out by collecting and sending clothes and funds (to purchase mosquito nets and other house hold and every day items) for the residents of the small town of Ifakara in rural Tanzania. We now have expanded to collaborate with local organisations in Ifakara to work on self sustainable projects
